A giant 12 foot deep square pool with a 50 foot wide face wall and 3-4 feet of vertical on top of about 9 foot transitions, a beautiful mid wall that abruptly went from 12 to 6 feet in about 10 or less and a waterfall to die for: 7 or 8 feet deep and steep. We used the waterfall as a ramp and used to get 4 foot high ollies and some fat kickflips out of it. 3 wall carves into the waterfall were the funnest along with a big face wall carve and blasting a giant ollie over a rocking chair or something random. The biggest and best square pool I have ever skated.
A true square pool adjacent to the High School now sits filled with dirt, its now a parking lot for district school bused. Before that it was a community pool used primarily in the Summer months. I swam in it back in elementary school in the 1980′s. During the early 1990′s is when all hell broke loose. That’s when the city decided to not fill it up, ever again. The pool was vandalized beyond repair and the city has kept it closed ever since.
Not many got ride her, but she did last for a couple years. We used to ride until 1:30 am when the lights would shut off. Its located in an area far removed from the homes and surrounding building so it was pretty low key.
Photos of this place are super rare and when I dig one out it will be here.
