The culture of skateboarding in pools comes directly from surfing. This influence is fundamental in our cultural approach although many of today’s skateboarders don’t know anything about it. Unless you really surf, you won’t even see it or feel it. But when you do, the influence is so evident its mind boggling why more skaters don’t honor their roots and venture into the water. Surfing short boards is so closely tied to pool skateboarding, its not even funny. More so than snowboarding, but still in the same vein…blah blah blah….
